Planify is proud to share some exciting news about one of our own. Angelo Gonzalez, our Director of Operations, has been named a 2026 Ambassador for the Katy Area Chamber of Commerce, and he has also been accepted into the Leadership Katy Class of 2027. Both are meaningful recognitions, and they reflect the kind of community-minded work Angelo has brought to Planify since he joined the team in 2019.
A Trusted Voice for the Katy Business Community
The Katy Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors program brings together representatives from local businesses who help welcome new members, support Chamber events, and strengthen relationships across the Katy business community. According to the Chamber, Ambassadors “help foster positive relationships, promote member engagement, and support the overall mission of the Chamber.”
Angelo joins a group of Ambassadors representing businesses across Katy, including co-chairs Becca Speed of Humble Grounds Coffeehouse and Amy Martinez of Community Impact, along with fellow Ambassadors from organizations like Percento Technologies, Coldwell Banker, Regions Bank, Kwik Kopy, and Image 360 Katy. It’s a role built on relationship-building and consistent involvement, which lines up naturally with the work Angelo already does at Planify every day.
Selected for Leadership Katy’s Class of 2027
Angelo was also selected for the Leadership Katy Class of 2027, a nine-month civic leadership program designed to connect emerging and established leaders with the people, institutions, and issues shaping the Katy area. Participants meet monthly starting in August, with sessions covering topics like local government, business in Katy, state government in Austin, education, healthcare, and a national government visit in Washington, D.C.
In the Chamber’s acceptance letter, the program was described as bringing together “a diverse group of leaders committed to growing both personally and professionally while making a meaningful impact in the Katy community.” Over the course of the program, participants can expect to:
- Expand their leadership skills through monthly sessions with local experts and leaders
- Gain in-depth insight into the issues and opportunities shaping the Katy region, including visits to state and national government
- Build lasting relationships with fellow classmates, session leaders, and the Leadership Katy alumni network
The class kicks off with a Welcome Reception on August 20, followed by monthly sessions running through the Ending Retreat in Galveston in May 2027.
What This Means for Angelo and for Planify
Angelo has been part of the Planify team since 2019, helping guide the day-to-day operations that keep the agency running smoothly for its clients. Stepping into these two roles gives him a chance to bring that same steady, relationship-focused approach to the broader Katy community.
“Being named a Chamber Ambassador and joining the Leadership Katy Class of 2027 means a lot to me personally and professionally. I’ve called Katy home while building my career at Planify since 2019, and I’m excited to give back to a community that’s given so much to me,” said Angelo Gonzalez, Director of Operations at Planify.
Congratulations, Angelo
Planify is grateful to have Angelo on the team, and we’re proud to see him take on these two new roles in the Katy community. Congratulations, Angelo, on being named a Katy Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassador and on your acceptance into the Leadership Katy Class of 2027. We can’t wait to see the impact you make.
